By-product obtained during pressing of oil from partially and unhulled sunflower seeds. It is a valuable feed component in animal nutrition, rich in protein and fat. Sunflower protein is characterised by a good composition, mainly due to a higher content of lysine and methionine than most other meal, which results in a high biological value.
